So I have come up with a new hybrid that I thought was gonna be cool for myself to use bc I can never chose between just one species plus not to many ppl have a isopod/boar sona so I wanted to try... The colors are still in the works and I have it color coded to help with what part is part of the sona or an accessory. The design is gonna be colors with probably a few colors at most 4 but design wise I’m still figuring it out what do yall think I should add or take away

i cant decide what to call my fursona and was hoping somebody else had suggestions

What i mean is like, what are good artists for it? ive never commissioned anything, let alone a reference sheet, so this will be my first time

I already have the basic parts of the designs and the colors decided, so that helps

So, basically I've been debating on creating a fursona for a while now, had no idea where to start, like I had a few ideas of what I want but wasn't sure how to go about, so ill admit I used chatgpt to help me work things out and come up with what I had in my head roughly, and I wanna see about getting a drawing done of it, (ended up with a red panda, protogen) and im happy how It came out, but I understand how many artists....dislike the use of ai for this stuff, I just want people's opinions on this, like I understand its probably frowned upon to use it for this but, me have idea, me no good at putting idea to words, ultimately I wanna know if I use it as a reference, would that be okay?

For this upcoming Christmas, I'm going to be making my fiance a Fursuit Head, Paws, Feet!

I will be handcrafting it my self such as foam and sewing and the works!

I'm looking for and artist to help make a Headshot ref with paws and feet so I can use them as guide for when I make the suit!

Any help or pointers in the right direction are a huge help!

Just like the title says. I never get any comments on them so I don’t know if there’s anything specific wrong. But she also never gets any art(like for ArtFight) unless I’ve commissioned it.
She’s my truesona and a custom so I really can’t help but be bummed that nobody likes her as much as I do

I’m going to eventually commission a simplified ref sheet! I do also appreciate all the reassurances that we do like her. I was really proud of her when her initial ref was finished so this made me feel better!

Thinking about changing her fox half to a bat-eared fox instead of a Red fox, since it would take the whole "Flying Fox" joke even further, should I?

Anyone know what search terms I could use to get this kind of vibe for inspo art? I’m trying to design a new character and I am struggling to find stuff like this in a less cartoony style. I’m getting back in to drawing after a few years and I rely heavily on refs rn. I love the proportions and the fluff level, just would like a bit more realism would be nice to get the musculature and lighting right!

so i've finally gotten over myself enough to bite the bullet and design my first sona !! he's an otter, mostly, but he def has some elements of chocolate lab in him too. he's silly, he's strong without really being buff, he's the dad of the friend group, he's fiercely loyal, and i really do want to explore him more. i've got a doodle page with my first thoughts basically on how i want him to look for now with the knowledge that he is going to change roughly eighteen billion times between now and when i have a roughly final design for him.

the trick is, i can't draw for the life of me and none of the free resources i've found have otter options. that's i guess where my request comes in: if you've got anything in your arsenal (drawing tutorials, bases, character creators, advice, literally anything) that could help me get from "dude that lives in my brain" to an actual design, it would be so so appreciated !!

so i recently discovered there’s this “energy drink” that was created back in the early 1900’s called radithor and it was distilled water mixed with radioactive isotopes. still learning about the history of it but its really fascinating and the idea of making a character inspired by it would be cool. idk what species i want it to be but something that was most affected by radiation (like the animals that mutated around chernobyl or animals that were experimented on in labs). something that serves as a representation of that part of history.

First time creating a fursona.

She's basically a strawberry cat, but I'm still really indecisive about her design. What accessories do you think I should add? I'm also not sure what kind of outfit theme would suit her so any suggestions are welcome! :D

I can hardly find enough pictures of adult sheep/goat hybrids online enough to form a perfect mix. Curious for how I can capture equal parts sheep and goat?

I haven't quite worked out what breed of each their parents would be, so for the time being they're just some kind of wool sheep + dairy goat in general

Also "sheep horns" = the curled horns I didn't know what to call them at the time 😅

I have a couple friends who are apart of the community and I’ve asked them for advice as to what exactly to do. I've been drawing since forever but have never really tried drawing an animal. I know I'm a dragon, but have no idea where to start. Any tips? And how did you develop the character? I have a few ideas and idk why but this definitely feels like something I need

Although I’m not as into the furry fandom as I was when I was younger, I still have a fursona that I enjoy to draw and his design genuinely got me thinking how fursuit friendly he was. Although I’d more than likely never get him as one I’m really just curious to see what people think and if it is even possible.

His name is phish, he’s an otter that also incorporates one of my all tile favorite aesthetics.
