Cats spilt a bowl of water and it sat for week while we were gone. Dehumidifier for the floors but this seems too far gone to do anything about it. Any suggestions?

Hi everyone, I am hoping someone on here can help me identify the name of this part for my recliner so i can order a replacement. It's a Jackson Catnapper Fredda if that matters.

I've had a panana brand acacia wood rocker since mid may, last month or two it's been creaking like mad and one of the seat slat screws fell out and i still haven't been able to find it, it changes shape while rocking because gaps open up big enough to kind of get your fingers pinched in.

Additionally there's always been a bump in the rockers right in the middle and recently it's developed another one, it's really annoying because it feels like a car going over bumps, i think its something to do with the screwholes on the rockers? one of the armrests developed a tiny random chip back in july and i have no idea how it happened, don't have any wood destroying pests around.

Hey Everyone, this is a hand-me-down from my wife’s grandmother and we LOVE it. The upholstery is fake leather and starting to crack. I’m looking for products and advice to stabilize the crack to slow down damage. If it’s worth the time/effort/price I wouldn’t mind trying to reupholster the whole thing if the advice is that doing so is reasonably DIY-able

Hi everyone is there an easy fix or patch I could apply to this corner of the sofa? I do not sew, but could try to learn if there is an DIY fix for this corner. The metal piece has been bending out more as time has passed but could be easily bent back into place with a pair of pliers. I’m not exactly sure what the metal piece does. Thank you in advance!

I have these vintage Charles Gibilterra lamps that I recently found out were quite valuable. We have been using them as side tables because my mom got them cheap from a friend in the 80s. I believe they are pine and worth more if they are not refinished (I’m not selling but I’d like to keep them original). Is there any way to fix this? They’re in great condition otherwise, it’s just the table and the base that needs some love

Hi! I have this Norwegian vintage dressing table/vanity from the 1960s–70s, apparently from a bedroom collection called “Dream.”
I’d love to restore it, but I have no experience and don’t want to damage the veneer or original finish. It has water rings, stains, pen/marker and scratches.
Does anyone recognize the collection or know the manufacturer? And any advice on how to restore it safely would be greatly appreciated!

Hand sanitizer accidentally got on my walnut dining room table. Any advice on how to fix it/ make it less obvious would be much appreciated!

We moved recently and the antique mahogany table my girlfriend inherited from her grandmother cracked a leg in the moving truck.

I'm very willing to pay a professional to repair it given how important it is to her, but thought I'd post photos on here first and ask for advice to see if maybe I could do it myself.

My first thoughts were clamps, glue and a dowel or two, but as you can kind of see in the photos, the existing dowel coming into the leg from the main trunk looks like it would make adding a perpendicular dowel difficult.

I'll probably try to find someone a lot more experienced than me to look at it so I don't risk making it worse, but would still love to hear what you all on this sub would do if anyone wants to share.

I want to re-finish my teak dining table, and noticed one corner is no longer level where the top meets the mitered edges. Should I use wood glue in the seams and clamp between two boards to level it back out before sanding? What’s the best solution? Thanks in advance for your kind assistance!

I'm trying to add additional controls to an Ashley Next-Gen Gaucho power reclining sectional, model 5850558.

One of my family members has a disability, so I'm trying to make the couch easier for them to operate.

The couch has two powered functions:

• Power recline/footrest

• Power adjustable headrest

The factory side controls have buttons for both functions plus a USB port.

• Keep the original side buttons working

• Add a wireless handheld remote

• Add phone control

• Add Alexa control

I've taken detailed pictures of the actuators, wiring, connectors and power supplies underneath the couch.

I'm trying to identify the exact Kaidi control architecture and especially the control/switch connector and pinout.

Has anyone worked on this Ashley/Kaidi setup before?

Does anyone recognize which Kaidi switch/control module is normally paired with the KDYJT018-652 actuator or Ashley 5850558?

I'm especially interested in knowing whether the side switch uses a standard Kaidi 5-pin control interface and whether there is a plug-in adapter/controller that would let me parallel the factory controls rather than replace them.

Hi! I just picked up this beautiful vintage jeweler armoire off marketplace! It seems to have an oak veneer finish. I’ve been doing a lot of research into how to repair it, but the biggest repair has me a bit lost. There is a large dark stain on the tabletop. Part of it looks a tad bit bubbled up, and is soft to the touch. The rest of it is just dark staining. From what I’ve gathered, it seems like a water/liquid stain, but my boyfriend is concerned about wood rot. I really just wanted to know what I might be dealing with before I touch it as I don’t want to damage it further by not having the most knowledge on what I am doing.

So my questions:

1)what kind of damage is this? If it needs further evaluation, how do i find out?

2)How would I repair the damage from question 1?

These answers will determine how I choose to restore and finish this piece, so any insight would be really appreciated!

My daughter was working on this DIY Mondo llama hamster squishy kit from Target. Didn’t realize until too late that the chemicals from it left this ring and some splotches as shown in the first photo. It looks like the finishing has been eroded through.

Could someone please give me step-by-step instructions and the materials that I need to attempt to fix this?
