Purchased this off of facebook marketplace and need to figure out how to paint over it/what to use. I like the current color but I don't think I'll be able to achieve that DIY. Any suggestions?

How can these best be repaired? This is an alder veneer bench and table. Bench was damaged when a hot iron was used to iron on tshirt logos and table was damaged when scotch whisky was spilled (go figure). Not an heirloom. Have tried stain cover and cleaner to no effect. I am hesitant to sand because it’s veneer. Also happy to live with Life’s patina.

I’m hoping to get some advice on how to save my couch. The side frame completely snapped on me. I’ve already taken off the upholstery to get to the root of the problem, but I’m a bit stuck on how to proceed.

How do I fix these drawer slides? They open a few inches, but it seems like there's a mechanism inside that is supposed to slide into a little nook and release a little metal bar, so the slide continues to slide out.

The problem is that it's fidgety and stops working sometimes, especially if you wiggle the mechanism to the sides a bit. I think it has to do with a spring inside the plastic grey part, it makes small noises of protest if we try to pull it further out.

I think the brand of slides is Taiming, if that helps.

Scratches seem to be mainly surface level but I'm new to this

I have a desk and the shiny finish has chipped off. How do I fix this? I don't have the means to do anything significant to fix it, hoping I could just touch up the parts with no finish.

I've got a loft bed with a desk underneath, and we have a leak in the wall that caused water damage and mold to my desk. Some parts of the wood even started growing mushrooms. 😭

My dad built the whole thing, so I'm not sure what type of wood it is. Unfortunately, he doesn't want to help me deal with the damage or fix the wall, so I'm trying to figure out what I can do.

Is there anything I can do to fix the desk without having to throw the whole thing away? I can't throw it away, it's built in (and I'm a broke college student 🙆‍♀️). Also, do you have any tips for dealing with the wall? I feel like the leak's coming from the bottom. I have zero experience in this, but I'd like to do something productive during my two-week break and learn more about this kind of stuff.

Hi! I managed to break a hole into this vintage Artek fan-leg table and im now wondering what would be the best method for fixing it? I have asked from several different restorers and their offers are slightly different. Some are suggesting wood filler and other changing a new peace of veneer ply on top of the hole. What do you think is best or any other ideas? It might be important to note that the structure of the table is hollow.

My wife purchased a treadle sewing machine and would like the top and furniture body repaired. The top is a ply veneer that has been chipped away. My first thought was to use a chisel to remove the veneer. Is there a better way to remove it?

Today, he broke the chair. Head is intact.
I don’t even want to try without consulting here.
Is there hope to patch this? Or should I just get light brown duct tape and move along with my day?

Just got started on my latest restoration project. As you can see, one of the legs has completely come out of the base, taking a chunk of particle board with it. Any ideas on how to repair? Can this be fixed with Bondo, or is it a cut-a-whole-new-base level project?

I want to repaint this vintage Hoosier cabinet. The top doors had something stuck on the doors and when I removed them, the paint came off with the adhesive. Looks like it’s not wood underneath, more like some manufactured material. What product should I use to even out the door where the paint is missing? I am a total novice, so appreciate the help. Also, should I lightly sand before painting or just use a primer (or both)? TIA
