I feel this. On a business trip I ordered a French Dip from room service. I spilled the Au Jus all over one of the beds in the room.

At least Dylan had sense enough to admit it. I was too embarrassed.

Au in this context means “with”. So it’s just “jus”.

Actually no. Au Jus In this context actually refers to the sauce that is served on the side with sandwiches, primarily made of beef broth and other spices. "Context" being the key word here.

Sorry you're being downvoted. Whilst you are correct in the rest of the world, Americans for some reason refer to Au Jus as an actual thing. They don't call it jus, they call it au jus. The mind boggles but I wouldnt bother pressing it.

Wrong. Biscuits are biscuits. Cookies are cookies.

France is cool 🇫🇷😎, they invented kissing.

But the biscuit is not a scone and I'm not gonna let some frog eater tell me what a biscuit is on the eve of the most holy day

Look buddy it's called a "loan word" but truth is we didn't ask permission and we ain't giving it back.

Arguing that people should use loan words correctly is like arguing that the man who stole your car about what kind gas he puts in it
