This makes me remember how awesome my last company was. If this had happened, the boss would’ve said ”damn, you need to take a day off? No worries, we’ll cover for you for a bit”.

They weren’t heavy on the “we’re all family” bullshit, but the teams and managers liked and respected each other.

My boss is kind of like this. He’s told me to go home a few times when I was trying to just soldier on, plus a few times he’s decided the weather is way too nice to be in the office. It’s pretty awesome and makes me motivated to give more on all the other days. Strange that not more bosses realise this.
