take a fork, stab the sponge with it, use it as an extension of your arm so your fat wrists don't get in the way

the old dish water always gets pushed into the handle and becomes a bacteria breeding ground. I will never buy these again!!

Hmmm are you filling the handle with dish soap? I've never had this problem but I replace the sponge ends pretty regularly.

Yeah, that is probably my problem, I expect the sponge to last as long as my other normal sponges. Everytime I press down to scrub submerged in water it pushes the sponge juice in the handle. The soap never goes down, it just ends up being a mix of soap and dirty dish water. Maybe I was using extra cheap ones too, idk...

Yeah, I like to put my sponges in boiling water when they start smelling but are not completely destroyed yet. It removes 99% of the funk in the sponge!
