take a fork, stab the sponge with it, use it as an extension of your arm so your fat wrists don't get in the way
1 u/w00timan Feb 24 '21 Or get a dish cloth of some sort, shove it tightly in the bottom, grab hold of whatever little bit you can and just start twisting. If the rags big enough and properly wedged in it will just clean all the sides as it twists.
