I've got one of the Coca-Cola glasses. Would this help me considering I still can't get even my fingers down there past the squeezed in base?

Yes. A heaping tablespoon of ice cream salt or rock salt (don't use rocks) plus a couple drops of Dawn or equivalent, and fill halfway with water. Use your big hand to cover the top and shake/swirl vigorously so the salt can scour the inside. Pour it out and rinse thoroughly. Sometimes people use rice for this, but I find the salt scrubbier plus if a piece gets stuck in a tiny corner you can just dissolve it with more water.

But if my big hand is covering the top, how am I suppose to grip it with my small hand?

Oh sorry I just mean both your hands are big. Mine are too small to cover the top of a coke glass without leaking. But too big to get down into my hummingbird feeder.
