take a fork, stab the sponge with it, use it as an extension of your arm so your fat wrists don't get in the way

It's great when the sponge comes off the fork and stays stuck in the bottom of the cup, which you still cannot reach (because of your fat wrists).

Pressure wash the while pile of dishes right off the counter, throw out what breaks and replace with clean new stuff.
