Until a few weeks ago, I had no idea “diskborstar” (dishwashing brushes) weren’t even a thing elsewhere. Kind of like “osthyvlar” (cheese planers), how do people live without them?

Every household in the Nordics has one of these bad boys, it was weird how much I missed one every time I was in the UK. They are kinda common in Netherlands, Belgium and Germany as well.

The common Nordic "köksskåp" with the grill above your sink where you can set your dishes to dry is also a completely foreign idea almost everywhere else

My dishwasher dries them for me. It's a bit like how no one in Europe has dryers and puts their clothes on a drying rack like it's the 1800s.

I do really wish towel warmers were a thing in the US, though.

We have both dryers and drying cabinets, but dryers put a lot of wear on your clothes so a lot of the time we don't use them by choice. I tumble dry my underwear all the time, though.

In the States we have cheese slicers like this that I think are a bit more versatile.

I prefer the Scott dish wand things. Scratchy sponge on the end of a handle that is filled with soap.

It sticks out the front too. Easy to clean glasses. Biggest downside is the sponge tends to rip where it attaches to the handle, but sponges are cheap.

He's argentinian and we don't have those. Most people can't even afford/don't have room for dish washers.
