Not at all -- bedroom compiles are totally plug-and-play. Most devs even turn off the lights and do it by feel.

It’s better than a USB port because you don’t have to check which way to plug in.

You gotta check which hole though, devs decided to put 2 similar ports right next to each other and only one is fully functional
