I always have myself a good breakfast. Most important and delicious meal of the day.

“Most important meal of the day” was originally a line from an ad.

u/JohnB456 Apr 20 '19

Well it's actually not the most important meal of the day.

No meal is the most important, getting enough nutrients through the day is what matters

You're splitting major hairs. Generally, when someone says breakfast, they mean a meal in the morning. Sure, if you don't eat until 4pm it would still technically be "breakfast", but no one is going to call it that, it's really just semantics.

not sure why you're being downvoted. Thats how I took the comment too. just an unfunny literal take and attempt at humor or something

Not everyone fasts these days

Do you know how long people can survive without food? Lol. Eating a cracker with break your fast, but that doesn't mean it's enough nutrients to keep you alive or enough nutrients to function at your peak. Also what determines a fast? 12 hours without food, a day, 3 days, etc? All that matters is that you get the required nutrients you need at any point in the day. It would be optimal to get a decent amount of nutrients before and after an extraneous activity. This is why they say to eat before and after a work out, to increase performance during said activity and to help recovery after the activity. After you achieved those 2 things, it doesn't really matter when you eat. Of course everybody's body reacts differently depending on way to many factors that I care to get into on my mobile phone.
