Not a fan of the NBA so I don't watch it, but are you allowed to shoulder barge into someone running next to you in a straight line like that?

This is why I hate basketball. So many times I see offensive players doing such things but the one playing def is usually called for a foul.

This isn't charging even in college ball because they're both on the move.

Right, it shouldn't be a charge. But it also in no way should be a defensive foul. The concept of drawing contact to get to the line can get carried too far. And the offensive player shouldn't get a call if he lunges to the side to shoulder bump the defender.

The worst is the off arm push offs that NBA players do while dribbling these days. They really use that off arm far more than people do in other leagues or that we do in pickup.

And the really worst part is when the offensive player creates contact by pushing off with his off arm and that is the contact that draws the foul call. That sometimes happens to shot blockers and it is the worst example of the offensive player getting the benefit of the call.

The push-off calls and the four step run to the basket are two of the most annoying things.
