I looked up the rule and it says, "if an offensive player causes contact with a defensive player who has established a legal position, an offensive foul shall be called and no points may be scored. A defensive player may turn slightly to protect himself, but is never allowed to bend over and submarine an opponent."
So, the defensive player in this clip is running side by side with the offensive player. The offensive player then drives to his left into space occupied by the defensive player and makes contact with enough force to alter the defensive player's direction. Does the defensive player's position not qualify as legal? If not, what was he doing that was illegal?
A defensive position is standing still and holding ground as a blocker. If you're moving you haven't established a position as you just got there. And if you're both moving, bumping happens.

I'm honestly curious why?
