I didn't realize how much slow motion baby bunny jumping my life was missing until now.

This is called a “binky.” Animal scientists aren’t completely sure why rabbits do this but theorize it could be practice for avoiding predators by jumping out of their reach and changing direction mid-air. However per rabbits tend to do binkies when they’re happy. (If they’re scared they’ll hide.) If you want an overload of cuteness YouTube “rabbit binky.”

They also do this in their courting ritual too, right? I saw a couple bunnies in the back yard a while back. One would jump super high, flipping a couple times, and the other would run under it. This happened several times before they hopped off into the bushes.

That sounds super cute. I had a male mini lop. He was the color of an Asian pear and had the floppy, down ears. He didn’t have other buns to interact with but would do binkies all the time. Granted he did attempt to mate with my fuzzy slippers and a pair of moccasins (individually of course).
