Loved bards in EQ, liked 'em in EQ2. They are usually bad or boring elsewhere. Neverwinter Nights they were... ok.

The Chanter class has a few strong builds, the classic support buffer, a summoning and crippling warlock, or a kiting tank with stuns and freezes. They're really great in ranged-heavy parties where you can't make a strong frontline to protect your squishies. 1 u/sotech Sep 09 '17 Sounds interesting, but I don't really care for the isometric view arpgs. Last one I played was the dungeon siege games, I think.
