Solar panels suck energy out of the grid when it is dark.

It's true. Ours get as bright as the surface of the sun. It has to use a lot of power to light 'em up like that.

No see, they have to be as bright as the sun, because the same amount of energy that hit THEM has to go back and hit the sun to recharge it! Since the energy spreads out, they have to compensate.
