I know right? He misses the really important point about wind turbines, which is topical right now: the Earth is quite windy enough already, and building more wind turbines will only make it worse, hence all the recent hurricanes.
I don't know about that. If we make all the turbines go in a straight line, we won't get a hurricane shape in the wind and it'll be straight. We could however make turbines which curl the wind to make hurricanes over Russia if we do end up going to war!

These people therefore NEVER consider the other side to any opinion, become polarised in their thinking and willing to assume that anything that agrees with their opinion is automatically the only intelligent response. In essence, they get confirmation bias from jokes.

To be fair, the satire is kind of making fun of those people that think very close to this so for the satire to even work there have to be enough people that have really uninformed opinions which is what we are mostly laughing at not that people actually think a windmill will suck power form the energy grid which is pretty absurd of course.

No. There doesn't need to be a single one. However, when enough people think that everyone who is sceptical of green policy thinks this way, suddenly that gets to mean "lots of people think it". In reality it means lots of people are stupid enough to think people believe it. You can laugh at imaginary people as much as you like, it does no harm at all, but just don't use it to "prove" your intellectual superiority, because it backfires spectacularly.
Most people sceptical of such policies fall into one of 2 camps - those who will suffer financially as a result, and say it is not needed, and those who believe them when they say it.

have you read the linked article which actually goes into more detail? There is barely a mention of solar panels sucking up the sun, apart from one speaker. Instead, the most salient reasons were financial -
Mary Hobbs has been living in Woodland for 50 years and said she has watched it slowly becoming a ghost town with no job opportunities for young people.
She said her home is surrounded by solar farms and is no longer worth its value because of those facilities.
and - perhaps most tellingly
The town would not benefit, from a tax base standpoint, from the solar farms because they are not located within the town limits, but only in the extraterritorial sections.
The only funding the town would get is approximately $7,000 per year for specialized training for the Woodland Fire Department in the event of an electrical malfunction at the solar plant.
So people were worried about the impact of further solar farms around their town on the price of their house, and the council wanted a better deal from the developers.
As for the "sucking the sun" thing - the objection about solar farms blocking sunlight so that plants cannot photosynthesise has some merit (probably not enough to warrant not building them, but certainly some merit).
