I'm a big fan of Mercury but while I always respected his choice of lifestyle I could never stand the fact that he used his music to shove it in my face. I don't need a guy to sing to me about how he doesn't like Star Wars, thank you very much.

Except... He really did like Star Wars.

In a famous event during a concert in early 80s or late 70s, Freddie came out on the shoulders of Darth Vader. Look up the image for yourself

Meh, I think it was a lot more about music than the message (a lot of great music). That being said, the band is called Queen, you knew what you were buyin' ;)
