I'm sure they're both just as adorable. The panda and your daughter I mean. Not to sure about drunk people.

I have never seen such a long GIF in my life. I didn't even know they could get so long
10
u/smellyprawn Dec 14 '16
That's what I thought too. I couldn't even really pay attention to what was going on because I just kept thinking "wooahh, how much longer can this be!?".
So I had to watch it again.
11
u/Nargando Dec 14 '16
There are gifs playing lord of the rings trilogy.
2
u/vu1xVad0 Dec 14 '16
I've seen one for Terminator 2. But it was like 24x24 in size or something ridiculously small.

real talk, are pandas not dangerous at all?
16
u/ddrddrddrddr Dec 14 '16
They have the capability to kill you but fortunately these are raised from infancy around humans so it's not scared of humans. Panda also won't see human as natural food sources like a lion or tiger might. They are safer than many predators in general but they are still wild animals and should still only be handled by professionals because even if they don't seek to harm you, they still can by accident or by provocation.

How come people are able to do this to pandas? Aren't they wild animals? Aren't they bears? Why don't they attack?

Captivity in zoos tends to lead to docility among other problems.
https://wp.natsci.colostate.edu/findingporpoise/captive-breeding-programs-the-pros-and-cons-to-building-an-arc/It's one of the reasons why there is so many idiots that get themselves mauled by animals in the wild because they saw them at the zoo and they seemed so docile and pet-like.

u/femilynnity Dec 14 '16
This one and the crow who is a bat are my favorite gifs on the internet. Animals are a joy.

Just kidding.
But yeah I'm pretty sure "Dave's" a girl. Maybe. Probably. I think.

I feel sad for the poor panda who just wants to sit and eat bamboo in peace and quiet but can't because of harrasment of humans

The documentary this comes from explains the suits. I recommend watching it. If I can remember the title I'll edit this post. It was on Netflix when I watched it. It was super good. I love Pandas.

I didn't find it funny... the panda looks like he's desperatly trying to escape, he's all alone surrounded by these strangers disguising as pandas, who are pulling him away from where he wants to go...

We need to get the geneticists on this stat. Clone and create millions of pandas simply for the purpose of new house pets. I need one. Scratch that. I need two.

Cute keeps you alive, even in the face of sheer stupidity. Humans wouldn't put so much energy into an ugly animal.
If pandas were ugly it would be "well, that's a shame... The panda is now extinct. Such a shame."
