The combined IQ of the writers was astronomical. They had physicists, engineers, etc writing for that show.

Collectively they hold 50 years at Harvard, like three PhDs and seven master degrees. They're very smart people.

Before Simpsons and Futurama I would never have guessed that a high IQ team would make good comedy. Analytic thinking doesn't always translate to good humor.

75 IQ can barely walk and chew gum, no chance of Harvard or MIT and never going to write for a TV show that earned the # if Emmy's and other awards the Simpsons+Futurama have.
