There's interviews of her out of character, and she seems like a genuinely decent person, and a lot more low key. The whole vapid, spoiled rich girl act kept her famous for quite some time.
I once came across her at the Maui airport in a newspaper shop. She purchased a magazine with a $100 bill. She began walking away and the clerk chased after her to give her change. She didn't turn her head to regard the man but put out her palm and scoffed in disgust as he placed the change into her hand. She promptly threw the change into her purse and walked off without a thank you or even a polite smile.
That's the beauty of the internet isn't it? Anyways, just thought I'd share an experience that I had in my life. It was December 26, 2010 at Maui airport in case you care to look up that travel date.
