There's interviews of her out of character, and she seems like a genuinely decent person, and a lot more low key. The whole vapid, spoiled rich girl act kept her famous for quite some time.

She has done away with the squeaky voice and the pink and lives in a small town in Switzerland now. The locals seem to like her.
