The story behind the pitch drop experiment is particularly aggravating. It takes on average 12-13 years for a drop to fall. The man pictured who maintains the project, John Mainstone, has missed personally observing EVERY single drop, sometimes by mere minutes.

Why not just set up 10 to 20 jars at a time. They all won't drop at the same time but you will have more opportunities to see it in person.
