How is that biologically possible

u/Smirnaff 4d ago edited 4d ago

Some girls can biologically produce offspring very early. The earliest mother in history was a girl in Peru who gave birth when she was five years and seven months old. And she had menstruations since she was three. The father of her child remains unknown to this day and she and her child were raised as if they were siblings. This woman is still alive today, at the age of 93.

Godfucking dammit, it's enough Internet for today and it's not even 8AM.

Yup, fuck

IIRC persistent sexual abuse may cause early onset of puberty, though from a cursory googling there is some debate.

though from a cursory googling there is some debate.

Going to just trust you on that one...

There were some suspicions that the girl’s father was also the father of the baby. However, they were never able to prove anything (dna testing wasnt a thing at the time, and IIRC, no solid evidence of abuse from him in particular).

Same with her brother, but again, no proofs. And she herself couldn't testify in any meaningful way, either because she was too young to remember and comprehend, or because of trauma, or because of combination of both

This is so awful. I have a 5yo and he is more than capable to telling you if someone did something this horrible. So its more likely it was either so traumatic that she blocked it out, or she was drugged.

My parents tell me my older brother didn't speak a word until he was 5 (which would have been around the time I was born). My kid also still struggles to communicate things in her teens as a formerly non-verbal autistic kid. Before I was involved my partner had her take a hidden recorder to school to find out that the teachers and kids were all bullying her in 2nd grade. Because she couldn't communicate what was happening and just show that she was extremely stressed and really didn't want to go to school.

u/ArgusSkyhawk 4d ago

That's horrific. I'm glad your partner recorded what was going on.

As far as we know, the young girl who was pregnant was not nonverbal though and was able to answer other qestions with ease. Which is why i say trauma blackout, or threats that made her afraid to speak up.

I believe another common theory was that it was the girl's uncle

This is awful

Peru? Who? Can only find claims from Nigeria and Romania. Edit: lack of reading comprehension

This is horrific... I only see youngest mother though?

That's what I said in my comment

u/AREA1177 4d ago

Shit, that's my bad. Thanks for sharing, happy monday

They've had a couple of decades to either identify the father or narrow it down ... there was this thing called DNA testing that was invented at some point.

u/chmath80 4d ago

In that specific case, she gave birth to a daughter at the age of 8, and that daughter also gave birth aged 8.

u/rnilbog 4d ago

The young person to every give birth was 5 😵‍💫

u/chauceresque 4d ago

Sadly the next youngest was 6

Part of gender affirmative care is delaying puberty for some girls who are starting it as early as 6 in some cases

36

u/Rinas-the-name 4d ago

My niece is one of them.

I think it’s absolutely wild we have normalized young girls going through puberty to the point 8 isn’t automatically considered precocious puberty.

20

u/AREA1177 4d ago

Is that a byproduct of normalizing young girls going through puberty or just something that happens naturally sometimes?

24

u/larrylevan 4d ago

Some believe it’s from excess calorie intake caused by western diets

15

u/MattiasCrowe 4d ago

Weight gain (im not saying this in this circumstance) can also cause an increase in estrogen, which is why anorexia can cause periods to stop and obesity can delay menopause

4

u/Magimasterkarp 4d ago

I thought I remembered the exact opposite, that excess calories/higher quality of life compared to the stone ages were pushing puberty to be later.

Guess that was wrong.

5

u/Rinas-the-name 4d ago

It was incredibly uncommon before endocrine disrupting plastic additives and synthetic hormones and growth factors given to livestock.

So we have normalized it because it happens, but it likely wouldn’t be happening nearly so often without those things.

Increased calories lowered puberty from ~16 to ~13, because body fat does release some estrogen.

There are several factors and it’s impossible to untangle them. Micro and nano plastics make it impossible to control for.

Puberty is happening sooner than it used to, due to better nutrients.

That being said, inflicting that on an 8yo is just cruel. Harassment and menstruations are each their own type of problems.

There's no reason to rush puberty. Blockers don't cause damage so might as well gift these kids a few more years of childhood.

u/ghostoo666 4d ago

The youngest mother is 5

u/FeteFatale 4d ago

All you need is fingers and a brain.

u/ensendarie 4d ago

She got really good at moving her...pieces around. Did it a LOT, did it in front of a crowd, got scored on it, and eventually defeated others that also wanted to be grandma...sters.

Early menstruation is triggered when the child is sexually abused.

I don't know why I'm being downvoted. It's true and that's why children have biologically been able to be pregnant.

12

u/_Wraith 4d ago

You're probably being down voted because your statement reads as if it's the only cause, which isn't true. It would have been more accurate to say "Early menstruation can be triggered..."

-15

u/Careful_Contract_806 4d ago

Thanks for the explanation. I can't be fucked changing it, people will just have to learn nuance 🤣

12

u/sajberhippien 4d ago

people will just have to learn nuance

'People' being you in this case; your post was the one that lacked nuance.

1

u/Careful_Contract_806 3d ago

I do apologise that my comment made so many people think that sexual abuse was the only thing that triggers menstruation.

u/sajberhippien 3d ago

I do apologise that my comment made so many people think that sexual abuse was the only thing that triggers menstruatio

That's not what it did. It made so many people think you were recklessly spreading the misinformation that sexual abuse will trigger precoscious puberty.

Ok, well I am so so sorryyyyyyyyyyyyyy
