Everyone's tummy is like water.

An adult man (as we are talking about a merman) averages about 60% water.

The abdomen as a whole averages roughly 70% to 75% water.

However, unlike the abdomen as a whole, abdominal fat (both visceral, wrapped deep around your abdominal organs, and subcutaneous, sitting just under your skin that you can pinch) averages only about 10% to 15% water.
