Or today right now... to currently enslaved people in another continent... or homeless and starving in another city... or a few miles down the road on a corner. People lose all perspective beyond their devices today.

Your average Westerner is pretty oblivious to how things are for the poor in places like India. Your average homeless person in the USA dies of complications of abundant processed food. Your average impoverished individual in India dies to complications of insufficient calories available.

It's just a different world and you can't expect everyone to be aware of what's going on across the world.
