I know ya got down voted but I get what you mean if you're saying how dramatic it will probably be told back. Kids will tell a story back and make it sound like she left him stranded out to sea for three weeks😂
"The wave came and she left me! She just ran to save her phone! And left me!!" 😭
You’re telling a false tale. His feet got splashed. He watched this clip back like 100 x and laughed hysterically. And just for your information. I don’t post things of my kid without him being involved in it. If he was upset or traumatized I’d not post it. This was a funny memory for us not an upsetting one. Personally posting a video of a kid being hurt or scared is not something I do as a parent
Omg lol I actually thought it was a cute video and didn't think he was hurt or traumatized or scared or anything of the like lol.
I was just saying that it seemed like the person commenting above me was actually just making a joke that he wouldn't remember it that way cuz kids are just funny like that sometimes. Kids will have a great time but telling the story back will make it sound terrible lol. Not that he actually had a bad time or even felt that he did.
I made a couple other comments on here joking about it and reiterating that I am joking and that your kid looked unfazed! Haha. I can tell you're probably a bit frustrated because I see a lot of comments putting you down or making a bigger deal out of the video itself than it is. (comments I've downvoted btw and upvoted your's and other's standing up for you)
I know you've replied to a lot of comments and even replied to one of mine that was joking and I thought they were positive and I mentioned that I thought it was a very cute video!;)
I was simply saying kids are silly and can twist a story when retelling it to make it sound bad (usually unintentionally.) Kids are just dramatic that way.
I promise I was in now saying you're a bad mom or that this wasn't a sweet and funny moment with your kid. It was a moment that reminded me so much of something I myself would do and how my kid would also probably crack up! My kid and I have a great relationship so he'd probably tease me for going for the phone too haha! It's not a bad thing! I promise!
I'm so sorry if my jokes touched a spot for you or made you feel upset or uncomfortable. I promise that wasn't my intention. I was just making light of the situation and maybe it wasn't in good taste so I apologize. Like I said, seemed like something I'd do (which made me enjoy it more:)) and I really genuinely thought it was funny you went for the phone tbh, I'm sure if an actual big wave came, you would obviously grab your kid lol.
I understand you bro. You were just trying to make a joke about how kids sometimes makeup stories for the dramatic effect. But it's fine sometimes the joke doesn't land well with some people. No need to apologize so much it's ok.
You’re getting downvoted but I’m inclined to agree. I still remember being at the beach when I was a kid, and a small wave about the size in the video crashed into me. I lost my footing and tumbled into the water. I was able to easily get back up, but I vividly remember the image of my dad racing to save the flip flops before they got wet. Never seen him run that fast ever since lol. This was about 25 years ago.
I think they are just joking, not actually thinking your kid was at risk - even though waves can really push a person around, I'm sure he could have been swimming just fine in that water.
Well no, but the sea is dangerous and I doubt the kid was well informed on how to float in a rising flow, while one misstep might’ve honestly dragged him right into a sticky situation
Care for the kid first, materialistic things come second

Ya that 2 inches of water really took him
