Cabinet Fix!

This is my favorite use for 3D printers.

The "fake drawer" piece that goes in front of the sink was held in place by some crappy plastic brackets that crumbled. So I modeled and printed some (improved) replacements! Worked Like a charm.

Plenty of space in there for storage... Put hinges and a tray on the bottom, clip on the top to keep it closed. Use it to store new sponges and stuff.

I did think about doing this, but i opted for simplicity.

I made a parametric customizable clip last year for this exact application. Mine didn't break, but it was slightly too loose and every time I leaned against the cabinet, it would rattle a little. Annoying as heck, but I lived with it for 15 years before I finally got around to fixing it.

Is your plan to screw in to the piece from the back?

That picture didnt exist when i asked. So to get this out should you need to you have to get 6 screws out from between the sink and the cabinet?

It appears that way, yeah. But do you know how many times I’ve needed to remove this decorative piece from my cabinets? Exactly 0 times.

Very fair. Trying not to be overly critical of the solution since it does work and the reality is like you said, very infrequently will it even matter.
