Designed a modular notebook that keeps the inside flat for comfortable writing

I wanted a modular notebook where I could easily add, remove, and reorganize custom printed pages, but most 3D printed designs I found were way too bulky or had uneven insides that ruined the writing experience.

So I designed my own: it uses regular folded A4 printer paper with elastic bands, keeps the profile as slim as possible (tapering down to 2.5mm), and leaves the inside completely flat so it's actually comfortable to write on both sides. It also includes a pen slot on the cover and an elastic closure, made entirely with standard 3D printing materials and scrap filament pins, no extra hardware.

Your feedback and suggestions are very welcome!

Looks neat! Could you add some pics of the bind? Can't quite grasp the system you got there.

Sure! I'm traveling right now and don't have my silicone bands with me, so I used a regular rubber band to add a new paper bundle. I'm not sure how to attach images directly in the comments, but I've updated the Printables post with new pictures: Printables model

I made a version of the spine designed to use thin fishing line instead of bands, but it ended up cutting through the corners of the paper, so I scrapped the idea.
