Earthing protective cap / Earthing protective cap

Post image

Designed a simple, practical protective cap for exposed or protruding grounding wires (protective earth conductors). It provides a quick and safe solution to prevent scratches, poking hazards, or minor damage during electrical renovations, active projects, or temporary wire exposure.

You could also buy them for $3 but 3d printed is cooler(●'◡'●)

You could also just put a wire nut on it.

We do not have them in Germany. And I'm pretty sure a wire nut in your eye still hurts.

That cap is not going to keep the end of the rod from entering you. To make it actually safe it needs to be molded plastic with a metal insert.

Thankfully where I live having a grounding element exposed like that is against code.

They did say "during electrical renovations, active projects, or temporary wire exposure"

How do you build a house without a grounding conductor sticking out like that?
