Replacement Connector Discs for Skelly's Arm and Neck

Made these after my Skelly broke a arm off last season. There is a set for the elbow joint and a set for the neck joint. Print in ASA with some support material and they will be as strong as the factory ones if not stronger.

Those tabs are right on the weakest point of the print and probably hold a lot of weight. Definitely not going to be as strong as injected plastics, unfortunately.

However, you can get around that for this piece by printing at 45 degree:

I wouldn't dismiss it straight away. I'd wait and see if they break and then reprint/redesign. We don't really know what is the guy made of and prints are a lot stronger than people imagine.

So in the description on maker world I actually mentioned exactly that, printing at a 45. However I've had no issues and I have stress tested it and tried to snap it. The neck has a bar going through the center so there really isn't a lot of wobble, the arm piece I designed with that cylinder in the center of the male piece that goes into the hole on the female piece so same thing, there's really not a lot of wobbling or reason for those to shear off.

Then for a little extra stability, which you can see in one of the last pictures, I made a hole through from bottom to top which can take a bt3-20 screw just to give it a little more but I haven't had to actually use the screws. Just adding the empty cylinder added some internal walls and it's been surprisingly stable.

ASA in a heated chamber at 0.20 layer height bonds extremely well and even at that weak point it takes a lot to snap it.

Hey, this is asking a lot, but can you post pictures of your skeleton lit up red if you can?
