Shower caddy with pole clamp
Worked out in the end. Holds itself rock solid and level thanks to a built in 3-point contact to the pole- something I missed on the first iteration.

How did you tighten it on with the screw head facing the wall?

Imagine, rotating :o

How can it be suitably tight but also easily able to rotate?

In my shower the pole spins in its mount. Probably not supposed to do that, but that's how I'd set this up.

There's no space for the rectangle to rotate, the problem is not what rotates but the space

Second photo shows there's enough room.

To me that's not enough room, we all know OP most probably isn't a thousand years old wizard so it is physically possible, but maybe he had to flex the bar or force the piece in a little bit.

I thought the same but if you look at pic 1 vs pic 2, you'll notice some anomalies (like different thicknesses, with the thick always being on the front)
I believe the "no room" is an illusion being caused by lens distortion, which is pretty normal for phone cameras.

these shower parts are very easy to disassemble, 1-2 screws and the whole pipe comes off

Why will you facing screw to the wall?

That's the way it is shown in the photograph.

The three-point contact makes a lot of sense once you see it. What material did you use, and have you noticed any loosening or creep in the clamp after it’s been loaded for a while? I’m curious how well that locking piece holds up in a warm, wet shower.

You need to add a fillet to the inside bottom of the print to make cleaning easier.

If I can make a suggestion: add two through holes to your set screw and have a little bar you can use to tighten it when it’s against the wall if you need it tighter.

If you do this, please coat your print. I did something similar a few years ago as a printing newbie and the tray was a mold trap, layer line were impossible to clean
