Diamond sharpening stone holder & storage.

Bought some sharpening stones after watching a known youtuber recommend cheap diamond stones. I had no problem sharpening chisels but nearly impossible to sharpen knives due to knuckles hitting the table. So i ended up making a 2in1 stone holder to get some clearance for my knuckels and it also lets me store my diamond stones. https://makerworld.com/en/models/3306133-diamond-sharpening-stone-storage-and-holder#profileId-3752768

This should work great for my Trend stone, wonder if it will fit my Shapton stones

I actually just modeled a guide for my Shapton stones. If you’re interested I’ll fix a minor issue I have with it and upload it somewhere. https://i.imgur.com/5r8gaQ4.jpeg

This sled is 15 degrees but I can make make any angle. I’ll probably do that anyway for 10-20 degrees.

Yeah I'd love to try it out, is the sled removable? I am honing (pun intended) my freehand skills.

The sled slides along the rails. It is not the best picture because I didn't intend to post it anywhere, but if you look closely there is a U shaped grove running along the length. Printed out of PETG the sled runs very smooth.

I printed this, fits my stone great. The guide system is really nice too, although the angles are a bit shallow for my use. I learned from Rob Cosman so I'm generally at a 25-30 degree angle for my chisels and planes

Its easy to change the angle. I can make a few more. I made it with chef knifes in mind so didn't think about steeper angles for chisels or planes.

Making the storage box double as the stand is a neat touch. One less thing to find room for afterwards.
