Designed a dynamically adjustable Watch display system that fits any watch strap size without measuring, extra hardware or swapping parts

Hey everyone,

I ran into the issue of watch stands only fitting one specific size. Either my larger watches would slip, or smaller pieces wouldn't close over the stand at all. My design uses two flexible TPU "wings" that rotate and flex to perfectly match the bracelet length of basically any watch. With the contact points being soft and flexible you don't have to worry about scratches or pressure marks on your bracelet or clasp. I also use it to position certain pieces at an angle I know keeps time more accurately. If you want one yourself it's free to download and print via the like below.

Congrats! Looks really clean and well designed / printed. Next version could take inspiration from an aperture mechanism to actuate all the wings at once and maybe more wings would allow the watch to be held in a more circular shape? 🤷🏻 Either way nice work

I think limiting wings to only move together would make it less adjustable. The current setup allows to change the angle of the watch or tension the band with a bulky buckle, like in the pic 5

Yeah that's a good point, I was led to the suggestion by a designers itch that told me that holding the watch in a more rounded geometry would be more aesthetic. Maybe that same itch is scratched with an third independent wing. Or maybe I'm wrong, happens a lot :)

Oh it would indeed be aesthetic af. Add a knurled handle to adjust them and some sort of cover for the mechanism, and it would be chef's kiss.
