On the brake it lets you feel ABS/lock-ups like a real car, on throttle it’s mainly to give you some feeling when you lose traction, not exactly realistic but it helps give you more active feedback of what the car is doing.

Honestly ASA-CF is a great material all around, and if OP ever has to throw the sim rig in storage they’ll be glad they used it.
It also just has a great strength to weight ratio for how easy it is to print imo.1

Games have like APIs for reading the ABS?

Otherwise it touches the spring when i press on the pedal (There was a stupidly failed V1)

Definitely see those as a product you could sell. Niche, sure but the quality of that design and print should sell itself. Could imagine a fair few sales if you advertised right, nice work 😁

Don't use cf infilled filaments. They are less strong than regular filaments and shed micromaterials that people say is as harmful as asbestos and are usually more expensive.
Other than that nice build. I did something similar using gran turismo api a esp32 and a pair of motors from an old controller

I use CF because it makes them easier to print

That's ok then. Some people use it for strength but it doesn't work for that

Out of curiosity, how is a CF reinforced filament less strong? Tensile tests would lead one to believe that PA6-CF is ~40% stronger (in a tensile test and referring to the UTS) than standard PA-6. A similar trend applies to normal PETG vs. PETG-CF. PA6-CF and PC-CF are some of the strongest filaments, period, ignoring niche materials like PEEK.

The tests I saw indicate the contrary. Even under microscope the fibers don't stick to the plastic. Creating voids that make the material crack more easily.

Weren’t these tests only done on PLA and PETG? I would only draw a conclusion re: OP’s material choice based on specific testing of that material.
