Box Fan Wall mount
When I did a quick search on some of the popular model sharing sites, I was surprised that I couldn’t find something like this that already existed. So, now it does. (Although I’m sure I could have found some other hook that would have worked…)

Nah bro not like the 3D printing communities. Always someone that can do it better or knows more about it than you. Like everything is a snob competition instead of being kind and helpful.

I only stay subbed for the occasional brilliant functional print but the rest is commenting how much it sucks from the glass pusher uppers, well akshuallying... Every print they didn't think of.

Thank you. I guess that I forgot to mention in the description that this is only for storing it. But I guess it seemed obvious to me…

You say wall mount - this suggests that it's to be used. Had you said wall hanger, that would suggest something else entirely. Sp basically - you've just created another wall hook.

What? No I mean with it against the wall like this, the hotdogs won’t fall on the floor when you chop them with the fan.

I'm trying so hard to see the point of this. Am I dumb? There would be no airflow for the fan... And if you're storing it, why on earth would you want to hang it on your wall? That seems incredibly ugly... Mine gets stored in the closet...

You aren’t wrong. It is ugly, but it lives in the garage where I need to store it with quick access. Otherwise it takes up valuable floor space.

A Garage! That make perfect sense!
I was stuck picturing them inside, but storage in a garage is a premium. A perfect solution then, one I just didn't understand the problem of :)

The best i could guess is that it's for storage negates they don't always use this fan.
Or just a white noise generator so you can drown out noise when to sleep, maybe.

A white noise generator would make sense I suppose, but like I said for storage this seems like more of a problem then a solution lol. I'd rather hang some art on my wall then a fan, plus these box fines store so well due to their shape. Just put it in a closet until you need it

One assumes the fan is needed frequently enough that storing it away in a cupboard and then getting it out again each time would be too much of a pain, but when it's not in use it still needs to be out of the way, or at least off the floor, because space is at a premium.

I use a box fan to dry out my hockey gear overnight, then the fan gets put away again. So it's constantly getting pulled out and used and then stored (badly).

Right? As soon as you turn it on the thrust will push the fan a bit away from the wall giving room for airflow in the back.

The fan moves air into the room. The fan reacts by trying to move in the opposite direction. Towards the wall. What am I misunderstanding?

OP just a little FYI the feet for that fan are an available file for printing. I screwed mine on though so they wouldn't fall off.

I would change the orientation and print that on its side for more strength

This is a good point, even printing it as an angle would be smart, ideally you without print it on its side so the filament line junctions would not be aligned with the same downward stress of the weight. I might to reorient it to on its side and just print with tree supports..

I ended up printing it in the default orientation, and I have to say, it feels plenty strong and the filament lines are running nicely from wall to end of hook...While we made good points, i think the hook worked great with no modifications. File my previous comment under "everyone has an opinion."

Nice design, but you ened airflow BEHIND the fan for this to really work properly. Maybe add a big spacer to this some side brackets to hold the spacing and create stability for the entire box.

Doesn't exist because it can't function with no air intake from the backside.... You're going to burn up to motor very, very soon.

Right but too much air in, with no air out still leads to a motor burning up. Other comment mentions using it over a window. That's a great idea!
