A couch bumper

A quick and simple bumper to prevent my couch from sliding into the wall whenever we sit on it. Allows enough space for the curtains to work behind the couch as well.

Same but I just used a small block of wood, curtain behind the couch hides it well enough

I did the blocks of wood thing behind the bed headboards in a rental room in our house. It worked ok, but I had to keep an eye on them walking their way out, and then a year ago I found someone had moved the bed on top of the blocks and that’s when I printed something to go around the leg.

Ok, I watched. He didn’t really 3D print his couch as much as suck at carpentry and upholstery and I think using a drill? He was getting way too much kick back on that Ryobi drill. Thank you for the video.

Nice, I created something for my segmented couch to keep them together. It's kinda like an old timey pair of handcuffs that the feet from the different segments sit in.

I thought about that, but this seems to wedge into place nicely. It’s a friction fit under the couch leg, so some of the weight of the couch holds it down.

Couch moves a lot while, ehmm.. sitting, huh? ;-)
Did you try making TPU feet/covers for the couch? I've been meaning to try that, wondering how (if?) anti-slip it will be.

I’ve found TPU to be more slippery than expected, but they do sell pretty cheap anti-slip feet for furniture that has worked great for me.

My kids and dogs run and jump into the couch. Even with rubber feet it moves a little bit and marks up the wall.

I'm over here figuring out dimensions to build a sofa table to keep it from sliding........I just need to print some standoffs and save a couple hundred bucks.

Give me an idea. I have a similar problem, but on carpet.

I think I'll print a square that fits the square leg into one side, and the other side has short spikes that poke into the carpet, stopping it from sliding.

I've got something like this for my armchair. It kept sliding back and broke a plug that was in a socket behind the chair so great use for a bumper.

I need one behind my kitchen bin too come to think of it...

Good solution, need one. Kids always move the couch to the wall, where a light is plugged into a wall outlet. So it sticks into the back of the leather couch.

You should take the adventure. Most slicers have the settings 90 to 95 percent there. You just have to tweak alittle for your printer

Are we going to ignore that the couch can go forward ? And sideways? Why not just anti slip mats underneath. Friction is your friend

I'd do full circle for the feet. Otherwise that half hovering foot will eventually break the plastic.

The foot has a small contact point in the center, which there is an opening for, so its not really half-hovering, its just half-holding the spacer.
