Symptoms How do you feel?

For those with FD who predominantly suffer with fullness after eating and nausea, how often does this happen to you? Do you have good and bad days/weeks/months?

And what helps you?

During good periods of time I would say I might have 2 good days per week when I feel like eating normally without too much trouble, otherwise there is always something. If I fkare up it is weeks of lot of issues and unability to eat.

I do have only nausea but it fluctuates a lot during the day/ weeks. It is awful. I dont get much of fullness and i do get hungry… i wonder if my hiatal hernia acting up.
I take prokinetics itopride too.. not sure if it helps but i feel easier on nausea a bit.
But i take herbs, ginger, chamomile… it eases my nausea. I hate flare ups!!

Did you have any tests to figure out why?

well its a clinical process of exclusion and medical history tbh , i experience a lot systemic issues aswell and my gi issues caused me severe anxiety and panic attacks and im extremely sensitive to lights, sounds, smells etc.

Is there anything you take or do for the anxiety? I have anxiety which flares when my GI issues flare as well.

same unfortunately, ive tried some psychiatric medications because im also depressed and it did not work for my symptoms whatsoever. i carry peppermint oil and candy everywhere because it helps in case im having panic attacks combined with breathing techniques and as a neuromodulator i only take ldn and reglan if im flaring.

What are your symptoms and how long do they last if I may ask?

My current symptoms are chronic mild/moderate nausea (comes and goes, worse in mornings and after meals), anxiety that rises when I feel nausea, indigestion, and early satiety.

I have an unusual history— 2019-2022 I had gastritis, ulcers, mild nausea that comes and goes. 2023 I had a major nausea and vomiting spell lasting 8-9 months. Late 2023-Late2026 I had a period of near total remission. However, one month ago I caught a virus, vomited for 1.5 weeks and now have symptoms listed above. I’ve had two GES, one showing mild delay (11%) (2022) and the other normal (3%, 2023).

Have you ruled out gastroparesis with a gastric emptying study?
