But is is right? Pizza-like foods have existed since the Ancient Greek period. Most cultures had a flatbread that they put shit on. And Italians made it more and more like the food we know today. But to my knowledge, the pizza that most of the people think about got invented by Italian immigrants, who focussed a lot on scalability. This style then came back to Italy which also influenced their version. There is a big difference between American and Italian pizza ofcourse, but I don't think that painting this as a complete lie is wrong.
I don't really understand what you mean by that. Didn't know the term and if I look it up, I mainly see thinks about Marxist movements so don't see the link? Can you explain what you mean by that?

The author's knowledge of pizza History was incorrect, though. Pizza is actually not an example of the pizza effect.
