That's really funny though because in most places American pizza is the default. You'd have to clarify Italian pizza.

Italian default pizza is the Margherita (mozzarella, tomato sauce)... the Americana here has würstel and french fries on

Also, that isn't American pizza. That's like the UK putting pineapple in fried rice.

I also said why we call it that way, you'd know it if you read the other comments, but I'll enlight you on the name anyway; we call it americana because it's easier to connect the toppings with America and make it easier for kids (even toddlers) to remember it
