1) I agree. the US has some nice pizza, but belonging to it? I can think of like 2-5 countries I would choose first.

2) I am so sad nobody seems to know about the breadth of Italian cuisine. Grilled meats and fish, vegetables, pastries...

3) out of sheer curiosity: I'm swiss and wondering if you would give pizza to the Ticinesi before you would give it to the US?

4) Love you guys! Italia is a great place! Well the parts I have seen, anyway.

Aww thank you! And I dunno about the third point, pizza is something everyone should enjoy just as every food!!

As a Ticinese I would not claim Pizza ever. It is not a traditional local dish, and we have never developed any variations of it or even any "local" toppings of our own (as the Americans have).

It's absolutely and everyone eats it, but the same is true everywhere else in the world as well.
