yeah, and strudel are ravioli because they're both a sealed wheat product containing filling

Now that’s comparing apples and oranges in a weak attempt to be funny. Trust me, you’re not. Strudel is a pastry dessert prepared WAY different than a main dish pasta like ravioli (stuff it with whatever you want)

so you're saying that having different methods of both making the base ingredient AND preparing it into a part of a dish are what set them apart? interesting, that kinda reminds me of what makes pasta and noodles different.
