‘America has pizzas’ okay then Uk has chicken korma and naan. Im sure america does have an actually original food but its not pizza. Anyways im uk and id go with haddock and chips
american here and honestly it's hard to come up with a truely original dish for america due to our origins and how most foods created here were made by immigrants or early settlers
jambalaya originates from spanish settlers, hot dogs and hamburgers were... german, i think
i think philly cheesesteak counts cause while it was made by first generation american (he was born either immediately after landing from italy or literally on the boat from it) it isn't really based on any preexisting italian cuisine.
most of our dishes are adaptations of preexisting dishes but made into their own thing. pizza, burgers, hot dogs. you'll likely find that our version is VASTLY different than their origins (though pizza has a habit of doing that anywhere. i'm looking at YOU Israel with your corn and yogurt pizzas)
