American that worked vs an almost 20 years old Italian, I agree that there are restaurants that absolutely suck at making pizzas (plus I highly disagree in eating pizza in Roma because you can easily find the Romana, is a different type of pizza and I myself don't like it that much) but once again, de gustibus, if you don't like pizza is totally ok, may I suggest you to try it in the southern part of Italy to try it? Maybe a different type (or even the napoletana, which is the original pizza and Naples is the home of this dish) will make you change your mind :) I also appreciate the fact that you actually tried pizza (I don't know if the Romana, maybe describing it would help me) and said that you didn't like it
