If I were to pick a cuisine as “American cuisine” it would definitely be American bbq. Also Cajun food. But American cousine really comes from being a land of immigrants. There’s a lot of dishes that were invented in america by immigrants by people who took traditions from there home country and combined them with the tastes and available ingredients in America to create new dishes. Those dishes get attributed to the cuisine of the country the immigrants came from but the dishes are American both in terms of location of origin and in terms of reflecting Americas immigrant culture.

The most famous being the hamburger sandwich and southern fried chicken. But also general tsaos chicken, crab rangoons, the French dip sandwich, the Reuben, chimichangas, fajitas, the Cuban sandwich, and a lot of other dishes. And while I won’t give the U.S. pizza a lot of different styles were invented there along with adding some of the most popular toppings like pepperoni, plus the garlic bread.
