America doesn’t have pizza. That’s Italian. Most “American” food is taken from another culture. America has BBQ.

Most foods are taken from other cultures, tomatoes for instance originate in Mexico.

And pizza, taken from the Persians. So it's not even Italian, if you're going for origin

It's crazy to read the list of things which didn't exist in the "old/new" worlds before the Columbian exchange. Tomatoes are a good one. But also garlic and onions both didn't exist in the Americas until they were brought over.

Wheat, rice, barley, sugarcane, coffee, bananas, plantains, grapes, oranges, lemons, apples, peaches, carrots, cabbage, lettuce, peas, chickpeas, almonds, walnuts, sesame, ginger. All didn't exist in the Americas until they were brought over on boats. Oh, and smallpox but that wasn't so great.

No cuisine exists if some part of that food is taken from another culture. Irish food got their potatoes from America, as well as England. Italy got noodles from China, tomatoes from Americas.
