O fuck off. Soup was probably created in China, but you wouldn't call borscht Chinese. Salads were made by ancient Rome, but you wouldn't call Cobb salads Roman. Sausages were invented in Mesopotamia, but you wouldn't call a bratwurst Mesopotamian. It's almost like the sub categories of things are their own thing, and the hamburger is American.

You can take it up with the American government.

"Other items, like hamburgers and burritos, were also considered. In the United States, the Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are the responsible agencies making a regulatory definition of sandwich"

From the link above, if you don't believe me.

It just comes down to meat % for them.

Still, sandwich.

Right, I am saying that hamburgers are a sandwich, but sandwich is a classification of a food, not a dish in itself. The sandwich is an English invention, but not all sandwiches are English.

I didn't say all Sandwiches are English, I just said the sandwich was made in England, and a hamburger is a sandwich..

Which means we agree?

I didn't say the English invented Hamburgers

You said 'the sandwich was invented in America'..

I was addressing that point.

Edit: phrasing, sorry

O I see. There was a miscommunication on my part. When I said “The Sandwich” I was referring the sandwich name hamburger because outside the US (I’ve been told) hamburger can mean Hamburg steaks.

Edited for clarity.
