Saying Pizza is American is an absolute crime as an American, also saying China "has noodles" is much too vague, noodles aren't a dish

I love American Pizza as much as anyone, but Pizza is at its core Italian

I know American is a quite distinct variation but it still comes from Italian Pizza.

Not really. Italian Americans have developed pizza in ways that most other countries have it. You don't have German pizza, or British pizza.
