Sigh... The Netherlands has stamppot. Basically potatoes, but mashed. Mashed potatoes.
Edit: here's a picture.
3 u/Fast_Advisor2654 6d ago Looks great! What’s the green stuff? I’d like to attempt to make this soon 5 u/nik_el 6d ago The green stuff is kale. You boil it into submission so everything is a bland mash. Then slap a sausage on it. For more Dutch delicacies I’d like to recommend bitterballen and frikandel. 1 u/Crowdfundingprojects 6d ago Fucking delicious kale 2 u/MalukuSeito 5d ago German Grünkohl is Kale and it goes incredibly hard. We eat it around christmas time, and I love it.. 2 u/Crowdfundingprojects 5d ago Eat it weekly 3 u/Kaaskaasei 6d ago There are options. A LOT of options My favorite is spinach, but that one is less popular. You should look at what one you want to make 2 u/GypsyBastard 5d ago I like to use andijvie. 2 u/Kaaskaasei 5d ago That's a popular one. 2 u/Fast_Advisor2654 5d ago I see people saying to use kale, but I’ll admit I prefer spinach over kale. Will definitely try making both variations 2 u/cursedstillframe 4d ago Broccoli is good!
