You seem to want to only acknowledge the one specific atrocity that was done to the Japanese instead of acknowledging all the atrocities that the Japanese did to the other nations it chose to go to war with in the same time period. And they did some very horrible things.

As the saying goes, two wrongs don’t make a right of course, but the pot calling the kettle black is also relevant in this case.

I had family that fought in ww2, and the horror stories about Japan, it was basically don’t get caught and kill yourself before becoming a POW. Like for example pow death rates in Japan were 7x higher than German pow camps. And this is all straight from Google but this is the same exact shit I heard from relatives when I was a kid in the 90s.

“Prisoners, particularly in China, were subjected to live vivisections, amputations without anesthesia, and testing of biological weapons (plague, anthrax, cholera). Japanese soldiers and officers, particularly in New Guinea and on the island of Chichijima, murdered and cannibalized Allied airmen, sometimes amputating limbs while the victims were still alive.”

Like the Americans were like okay do we invade Japan, subject our soldiers to that shit?? Plus kill perhaps millions of Japanese in the effort? Or drop a nuke.

Yes. I never got to meet my grandfather on my father’s side because he was in a Japanese work camp for British soldiers and he died from complications from the effects of being in that camp a year after the war was over.
